Age & Parental Consent Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2025
This Age & Parental Consent Policy explains who may use Grow As You Go ("GAYG") and under what conditions. Grow As You Go takes youth safety seriously.
Minimum age requirements
- Children under 13 are not allowed to create accounts or use GAYG.
- Teens ages 13-17 may use GAYG only with verified consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- We may ask for documentation to confirm age or consent when needed.
Parent or guardian responsibilities
- Review the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines with your teen.
- Monitor activity, including workouts, journaling, and messaging.
- Ensure the teen has appropriate supervision during training and coaching sessions, especially for higher-risk activities.
- Discuss emergency plans and when to stop activities that feel unsafe.
Consent process
- Guardians must complete our consent form and confirm responsibility for the teen’s use of GAYG.
- Consent covers digital access only. Some offline events, retreats, or competitions may require separate waivers or releases.
- We may revoke access if consent cannot be verified or if required safeguards are not maintained.
- We may request renewed consent annually or when we introduce new features that materially change how youth data is used.
Data rights and privacy
- Guardians can request access to, correction of, or deletion of teen data by emailing privacy@growasyougo.love.
- We follow our Privacy Policy when handling youth data and delete information collected without proper consent.
- We may provide guardians with safety summaries highlighting recent activity trends to support informed oversight.
Reporting concerns
- If you believe a user is under 13 or using GAYG without proper consent, notify us immediately through in-app tools or by emailing moderation@growasyougo.love.
- We will promptly investigate, remove unauthorized accounts, and purge related data when appropriate.
- When we close a youth account, we inform the guardian about any next steps, including how to export permitted data.
Removing access
- We may suspend or terminate a teen’s access for safety reasons, policy violations, or at the guardian’s request.
- Deleted accounts may retain limited backups as described in the User-Generated Content Policy.
- Guardians may request reinstatement after demonstrating that risks are addressed and consent remains valid.
