Grow As You Go ("GAYG") respects your privacy. Grow As You Go collects and uses personal information to provide a focused training and development experience. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using GAYG you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.

Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, username, password hash, profile details, preferred pronouns, demographic notes you choose to share.
• Usage data: workouts completed, journaling prompts, streaks, session timestamps, in-app messages, reactions, and support tickets.
• Device data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and coarse location derived from IP.
• Cookies and similar tech: unique identifiers, session tokens, and analytics tags in our web app. See "Cookies and tracking" below.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive medical records. GAYG is not a healthcare provider and is not HIPAA-covered.

How we use data

We process personal data to:

• Deliver, personalize, and maintain the app, AI coaching features, and community spaces.
• Process payments and verify eligibility for discounts or trials.
• Secure the platform, investigate abuse, and enforce our Acceptable Use Policy.
• Communicate updates, respond to support requests, and send training insights.
• Run analytics to improve programming and measure engagement.

Legal bases for processing

We rely on these grounds:

• Contract: Needed to deliver the services you sign up for.
• Legitimate interests: Improving and securing GAYG in ways that do not override your rights.
• Consent: Optional features like marketing emails, cookies, or sharing testimonials. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Retention

We keep personal data while you maintain an account and for up to three years after closure to address legal obligations, defend claims, or analyze historical usage. Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained longer. We delete or archive data sooner when no longer needed.

Sharing and disclosure

We share data only with vetted processors that help us run GAYG, including hosting providers, analytics platforms, payment processors, and customer support tools. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose data when required by law, to protect safety, or during a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice before changes take effect).

International transfers

We store data in the United States. When we work with partners outside the U.S., we use protective measures such as standard contractual clauses and due diligence to safeguard information.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, restricted access, logging, and regular security reviews. No system is perfect; report suspected issues through in-app support or by using the contact details below.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Submit requests through in-app settings or by contacting us via the details below. We will verify identity before acting on requests.

Marketing preferences

You can manage marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in each message or toggling settings in the app. Transactional emails will still arrive when necessary.

Cookies and tracking

We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences, and third-party analytics cookies to understand usage trends. You can adjust browser settings to block cookies, though some features may stop working. Where required, we offer in-app cookie consent tools. Opt-out of analytics by enabling "Do Not Track" or by using browser opt-out extensions; we will honor reasonable opt-out signals when technically feasible.

Do Not Track

While there is no universal DNT standard, we interpret strong browser signals as requests to limit analytics cookies and respect them when our systems detect them.

Children’s privacy

GAYG is not for children under 13. Teens 13-17 must have permission under our Age & Parental Consent Policy. If we learn we collected data from someone without required consent, we will delete it.

Changes we may make

We may update this policy to reflect new features, legal requirements, or feedback. We will post revisions with a new date and, when changes are material, give advance notice through the app or email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
