User-Generated Content Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2025
This User-Generated Content (UGC) Policy explains how content shared on Grow As You Go ("GAYG") is governed by Grow As You Go. It works alongside the Community Guidelines and Content Safety & Moderation Policy.
Ownership and rights
- You own the content you create and upload to GAYG, including posts, journal entries, workout logs, media, and feedback.
- By submitting UGC, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display your content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving GAYG.
- This license allows us to feature community highlights, power personalization, and ensure backups. It continues as long as your content remains on GAYG and for a reasonable period afterward for archival and legal purposes.
Your promises to the community
By posting content, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the necessary rights or permissions to share it.
- Your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
- Your content complies with applicable law and our Acceptable Use Policy.
- People appearing in your content have given proper consent, especially for minors.
Prohibited content examples
Do not upload or share:
- Hate speech, harassment, or threats.
- Nudity or sexual content involving minors, or exploitative adult material.
- Instructions for self-harm, suicide, or dangerous challenges.
- Medical or fitness claims presented as guaranteed outcomes or as replacements for professional care.
- Malware, phishing links, or unauthorized data collection scripts.
- Content that reveals private or personal data without permission.
Takedowns and removals
- We may remove or edit UGC that violates this policy or poses risk.
- We may disable accounts for repeated or egregious violations.
- Removed content may be stored temporarily to support investigations or appeals.
- We may provide anonymized summaries of enforcement actions to the community to reinforce expectations.
DMCA and copyright concerns
- If you believe content on GAYG infringes your copyright, submit a DMCA notice using the process in our Copyright & IP Policy.
- We may notify the user and give them a chance to file a counter-notice.
- Repeat infringers may have accounts terminated.
- We may publish guidance on how to avoid copyright issues, such as using royalty-free music or properly citing sources.
