Content Safety & Moderation Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2025
This Content Safety & Moderation Policy describes how Grow As You Go reviews and acts on reports across Grow As You Go ("GAYG").
How we monitor
- Proactive sweeps: Automated tools surface likely violations based on keywords, behavior patterns, or repeated flags.
- Human review: Trained moderators review context, community history, and relevant evidence before action.
- User reports: Anyone can flag content or accounts via in-app tools or by emailing moderation@growasyougo.love. Anonymous reports may limit our ability to respond, but we review all submissions.
Triage priorities
We move fastest on:
- Threats of self-harm, suicide, or harm to others.
- Credible reports of harassment, hate, or exploitation.
- Content involving minors, sexual violence, or trafficking.
- Promotion of dangerous workouts, substance abuse, or medical misinformation presented as fact.
Lower-risk issues like spam or off-topic posts are addressed after urgent cases.
Possible actions
Depending on severity and history, moderators may:
- Remove or edit specific posts, comments, or media.
- Issue warnings or education notes.
- Restrict features (chat, groups, events) temporarily.
- Suspend accounts for set periods.
- Permanently ban accounts and block device identifiers.
- Report incidents to platforms that host related content.
Transparency and notice
When we act, we strive to notify the user with a short summary, relevant policy link (such as the Community Guidelines), and next steps. We may skip notice when legally barred or when notice could escalate harm.
Appeals
- You may appeal within 14 days of action via the in-app appeal form or by emailing appeals@growasyougo.love.
- Provide context, supporting information, and why you believe the decision was incorrect.
- A separate moderator or manager will review appeals. Decisions are final.
Law-enforcement escalation
- Imminent harm: We follow the Emergency & Crisis Policy and may contact emergency responders.
- Illegal content: We may preserve and share data with law enforcement when required by law or to protect safety.
- We balance user privacy with legal obligations and document the basis for disclosures.
Data handling
- We retain moderation records for at least 24 months to improve safety operations and comply with legal requirements.
- Access to reports is limited to trained staff with confidentiality obligations.
Continuous improvement
- We conduct regular audits of moderation accuracy and response times.
- We evaluate tooling to reduce bias and improve consistency.
- Feedback from appeals and community forums informs updates to this policy and related documents like the User-Generated Content Policy.
